Safe Sea lotion is based on a unique, patented technology that exploits biochemical mechanisms to neutralize the jellyfish's sting. SafeSea™ ensures that even if jellyfish make physical contact with people wearing the lotion, the stinging mechanism will not be activated.

SafeSea™ was clinically tested by dermatologists. Safe Sea is the only product available today that was tested and proven to be effective to protect exposed skin in jellyfish infested waters.

All tests demonstrated that Safe Sea provides effective protection against jellyfish sting. Other tests indicate that Safe Sea is effective against most and even dangerous jellyfish.

The unprotected hand developed inflammatory rash accompanied by pain, while the hand protected with SafeSea™ lotion remained normal with no signs of rash or pain.

So how does it work?
Safe Sea inactivates stinging cells in several biochemical sites. It reduces tentacle skin attachments, mimic jellyfish self-recognition, block stinging cells activation site, interfere with cellular signal and reduced the internal osmotic pressure in the nematocyst capsule.

...or in less scientific words:
First: Safe Sea® has a slippery, waterproof texture that makes it difficult for the stinging tentacles to get a grip on the skin.

Second: The cream absorbs secretion from the skin that would otherwise tell the jellyfish that it is in contact with prey.

Third: Chemicals stoppers in the cream block up the sites where the stinging process is activated.

Fourth: And finally pressure in the stinging cells which normally shoots the shaft into the victim is reduced; so that the stings cannot be fired.
